PunchAlert and the PunchAlert Platform
Updated over a week ago

Q: What is PunchAlert?

A: PunchAlert is a security and emergency alert platform. The platform consists of the PunchAlert mobile app, which is used by all users to report emergencies and by responders to manage and communicate with users during an emergency, and the PunchAlert Web Console, which is used by the organization to maintain users, geofences, and custom settings.

Q: What is included in the PunchAlert App for me as an organization member?

A: In the PunchAlert app a user can post and receive emergency alerts and tips to organizations in which they are a member or a public follower (if that organization has enabled public participation in emergencies and tips and the user is on the organization's campus). The user can also receive announcements from organizations in which they are a member or a public follower. During an organization emergency, the user will receive an alert about the emergency as well as where it is and what it is. The user will be able to communicate with responders within the organization through chat, posting a video, photo, or recording.

Q: What all is included in the PunchAlert Platform?

A: In addition, to the Admin Setting module there is also an Emergency module to declare and manage emergencies, an Announcement module to create announcements and distribute to users in organization or public, and a Tips module allowing users to post a concern to a designated person called a Tip Responder.
